AbstractIn this paper, we present a new coplanar wave-guide-fed tapered ring slot antenna for ultrawideband (UWB)applications.Hisresearch interests include mobile antenna designs, electromagnetic theory and numerical techniques, ultrawideband antenna, andpassive circuit designs.

A compact microstrip line fed tapered-shaped slotted ultra-wideband(UWB) antenna is presented. The new design is composed of a rectangular slotted patch with a compact size of 21.44 × 23.53 mm2 and fed by microstrip transmission line of 50 Ω.
